present on past, present and future

Trust no future, howe’er pleasant!  Let the dead Past bury its dead!  Act,—act in the living present!  Heart within, and God o’erhead!

Being in Christ, it is safe to forget the past; it is possible to be sure of the future; it is possible to be diligent in the present.
