Andrew Arndt
Andrew Arndt has been married to his wife, Mandi, for nearly 25 years, and together they are raising a lively household of teenagers. Despite the challenges that come with parenting teenagers, Andrew cherishes this season of life, finding joy and fulfillment in watching his children grow and navigate the world. Raised in the Pentecostal Movement, Andrew’s faith journey has been shaped by its emphasis on the Holy Spirit and experiential Christianity. However, over the years, he has found a deep connection with the broader Great Tradition of Christian faith, embracing both its rich theological heritage and its commitment to following Christ’s example.
Andrew’s life is marked by a sense of awe and occasional amusement at the complexities and dynamics of living in community with God’s people. He often finds himself humbled and undone by the grace, beauty, and challenges of the church. Above all, he is continually astonished by Jesus—His life, sacrifice, and ongoing work in the world. For Andrew, Jesus is the source of all meaning, hope, and transformation.
An incurable bibliophile, Andrew is passionate about reading, often spending hours with books that span a variety of genres but always with a particular focus on theology, spirituality, and personal growth. He is also a dedicated long-distance runner, using running as a way to clear his mind, deepen his spiritual reflections, and stay physically healthy.
In his professional life, Andrew serves as the Lead Pastor of New Life East, where he brings vision, leadership, and pastoral care to the church community. He is also the author of All Flame and Streams in the Wasteland, both of which reflect his deep theological insights and personal experiences of faith. Andrew holds a Doctor of Ministry degree from Western Theological Seminary and a Master of Divinity from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. Outside of ministry, Andrew is a die-hard Packers fan, and his love for his team is unwavering. Whether in his family life, pastoral ministry, or personal interests, Andrew seeks to live a life that is centered on Christ and deeply committed to others.
