Richard Herman

Richard Herman is a retired Presbyterian pastor with over 40 years of faithful service in pastoral ministry. He continues to devote his life to God’s people as a teacher and spiritual director.

A graduate of Bucknell University (BA) and Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary (M.Div.), Dick has deepened his expertise in spiritual formation through advanced studies, earning a Certificate in Spiritual Formation from Columbia Theological Seminary and completing his Doctor of Ministry degree at Fuller Theological Seminary. Additionally, he is certified as a Spiritual Director by Oasis Ministries and is a trained Stephen Leader, equipping others for ministry and caregiving.

Dick is married to Lissa, his steadfast partner in life and ministry. Together, they cherish spending time with their family, which includes their married daughter and two granddaughters, who live nearby. Their golden retriever, Winnie, often joins in the fun, adding joy to family life.

In his leisure, Dick finds solace in walking and bird-watching with Lissa, capturing moments through nature and contemplative photography, and exploring the Celtic landscapes of the UK. Whether mentoring others in their spiritual journeys or savoring time with his granddaughters, Dick continues to reflect God’s love and grace in all he does.
