Henry Ward Beecher

Rick Warren is an American pastor, author, and founder of Saddleback Church, one of the largest and most influential megachurches in the United States. Born in 1954, Warren has become a prominent figure in evangelical Christianity and is best known for his best-selling book The Purpose Driven Life, which has sold millions of copies worldwide and has been translated into numerous languages. Published in 2002, The Purpose Driven Life quickly became a global phenomenon, offering readers a guide to living a life of purpose, meaning, and fulfillment based on biblical principles.

Warren’s ministry is centered around helping individuals discover and live out their God-given purpose. His teachings emphasize the importance of living with intentionality, rooted in faith, and being actively engaged in serving others. His "Purpose Driven" approach to life has influenced not only individual Christians but also churches and organizations around the world seeking to focus on mission and outreach.

Beyond his work as a pastor and author, Warren is deeply involved in humanitarian efforts. He has been a passionate advocate for global poverty reduction, education, and HIV/AIDS awareness, particularly through his work with The PEACE Plan—an initiative designed to address five global challenges: spiritual emptiness, self-serving leadership, poverty, disease, and illiteracy. Warren has worked to mobilize communities to serve others and create sustainable change in under-resourced areas.

Warren’s commitment to both spiritual growth and social justice has made him a widely respected leader in the evangelical community. He has served as an advisor to various U.S. presidents and has consistently called on Christians to be active in both their faith and in their communities. His influence continues to shape how churches and individuals approach mission, service, and personal growth.
