I know quite certainly that I myself have no special talent. Curiosity, obsession, and dogged endurance, combined with self-criticism, have brought me to my ideas. Especially strong thinking powers (‘brain muscles’) I do not have, or only to a modest degree. Many have far more of those than I with­out producing anything surprising.
