You have called us to step outside

Heavenly Father, you have called us to step outside the church and into your world to carry out your kingdom work. We are to love our neighbors, serve those who may call us enemies, and pray for those who persecute us. Yet we need your wisdom to guide us in these steps. In our desire to serve, we can seek merely to please our enemies. Rather than follow your ways of love, we follow after the ways of the world, confusing that with love.
