In today’s Scripture reading, we will hear the story of a violent man named Saul

Leader: In today’s Scripture reading, we will hear the story of a violent man named Saul, whose life was radically changed by Jesus. Before encountering Jesus, Saul persecuted Christians; after encountering Jesus, Saul’s life mission was to share the same grace and forgiveness he received from Jesus. 

Today, Jesus is calling us out of darkness and into new life. Let us respond by turning to Him in repentance and faith. We pray together:

People: Jesus, we confess that we have sinned against you in thought, word, and deed. We have become blind to the sin in our hearts, producing pain and disaster in our lives. Turn our hearts back to you, that we would follow You in everything we do.

Leader: Hear this good news: Jesus has washed away your sinful past by the power of his cross and resurrection. New life and purpose are yours, in Jesus’ Name.

People:Amen. Thank you, Jesus.
