In almost everything that touches our everyday life on earth, God is pleased when we're pleased. He wills that we be as free as birds to soar and sing our maker's praise without anxiety.

The Sabbath teaches us that we do not work to please God. Rather, we rest because God is already pleased with the work, he has accomplished in us.

God is not glorified in any transaction upon earth so much as in the conversion of a sinner.

Let us think often that our only business in this life is to please God. Perhaps all besides is but folly and vanity.
