Calls To Worship

Evangelism

Adapted from 2 Corinthians 5:17-20

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come. The old has gone, the new is here!

All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation:

That God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation.

We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We remind one another in our service of worship:

Be reconciled to God.

Adapted from 2 Timothy 2:2

And the things you have heard me say

In the presence of many witnesses

Entrust to reliable people

Who will also be qualified to teach others.

Lord, as we worship you today, empower us to pass on what you have done in us to others.

Adapted from Matt. 5:14,16; 1 Cor. 9:23, Isa. 6:8

Jesus said: You are the light of the world.

Let our light shine, giving glory to God.

Do all things for the sake of the gospel.

So may we share in the blessings of God.

He called out: Whom shall I send?

I answered: Here I am; send me.

Adapted from Acts 1:8

Jesus said, “And you will receive power,

When the Holy Spirit Comes on you.

And you will be my witnesses.

In Jerusalem, and all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

Holy Spirit, in your power, come to us today.

God with us, your very nature demonstrates that you reach out to us. You are the God who sends, and you’ve sent us to spread your love to others. However, we get too comfortable keeping our faith to ourselves. Open our eyes to the needs around us and open our hearts to the cries of those in need. Show us where you send us as we silently confess our sins to you now…
