Vance Havner (1901–1986)

Vance Havner was a renowned American preacher, evangelist, and author known for his passionate, straightforward preaching and commitment to the gospel. Born on November 17, 1901, in North Carolina, Havner felt a call to ministry at a young age. He was preaching by the age of 15 and went on to attend The King's College in Tennessee, where he developed a deep foundation in biblical studies.
