Sharon Hodde Miller is an author, speaker, and ministry leader known for her work in empowering women to embrace their God-given identity and purpose. She is the co-founder of Encourage, a ministry designed to help women build meaningful relationships and thrive spiritually. Sharon's writing and speaking focus on helping women discover their worth, find their voice, and live out their calling with confidence and authenticity.
Sharon is the author of Free of Me: Why Life Is Better When It's Not About You, a book that explores the concept of self-absorption and encourages readers to shift their focus from themselves to others in order to experience greater freedom, joy, and fulfillment. She also wrote Nice: Why We Love to Be Liked and How God Calls Us to More, which examines the cultural pressures to be nice and the ways that embracing the full range of Christian virtues can lead to deeper, more authentic relationships.
Sharon holds a Ph.D. in educational leadership and has worked as a writer, editor, and researcher. She is passionate about using her knowledge and platform to help women cultivate spiritual growth and make a lasting impact in their communities. As a speaker, Sharon has addressed women’s conferences, churches, and leadership events, where she shares her insights on faith, leadership, and personal growth.
Sharon lives with her husband, Ike, and their two children in North Carolina. She enjoys reading, writing, and spending time with her family. Through her books, articles, and speaking engagements, Sharon Hodde Miller is helping to shape a generation of women who are confident in their identity in Christ and committed to living lives of purpose and service.
