Scott Sauls

Scott Sauls is a pastor, author, and speaker dedicated to sharing the hope of the gospel and fostering a culture of grace and authenticity in the church and beyond. He serves as the senior pastor of Christ Presbyterian Church in Nashville, Tennessee, where he is known for his compassionate leadership, thoughtful teaching, and commitment to engaging both hearts and minds with the message of Christ.

Before his time in Nashville, Scott served as a lead pastor and church planter in Kansas City and St. Louis. He also worked alongside Tim Keller at Redeemer Presbyterian Church in New York City, where he helped shape Redeemer’s vision for gospel-centered ministry in an urban context.

Scott is the author of several widely acclaimed books, including Jesus Outside the Lines: A Way Forward for Those Who Are Tired of Taking Sides, A Gentle Answer: Our 'Secret Weapon' in an Age of Us Against Them, and Beautiful People Don’t Just Happen: How God Redeems Regret, Hurt, and Fear in the Making of Better Humans. His writings encourage readers to navigate cultural and relational tensions with kindness, humility, and gospel-centered wisdom.

Scott is a graduate of Furman University and Covenant Theological Seminary. He is married to Patti, and together they have two daughters.
