Stewardship and Giving
It's interesting and unfortunate that "stewardship" has become a bit of a euphemism for "giving to the church." The two concepts are related, but they're not the same.
Even if you run your stewardship campaign in the fall season, it's worth addressing the bigger issue of stewardship in the life of a follower of Jesus all year long. How we use our resources—of which money is only a part—is integral to discipleship. After all, Jesus himself says that "where your treasure is, there your heart will be also."
