Some Ground-Rules for Developing Resilience

I’m not sure that I could have articulated the ground rules for the search for resilience the way I understand them today, but I must have intuited them nevertheless. Some of the basic ideas were these: 

First, simply talking about the issue of resilience doesn’t get one very far. Nor is there much value in talking about how badly everyone else needs it. Resilience belongs to the person who pursues it relentlessly for him- or herself.
