In the desert outside of Tucson, scientists dreamed up an experiment to re-create the conditions of earth for space, when and if the earth could not be made great again. The biosphere was a little world, with its own deserts and rainforests, whose trees grew fast and tall. But one by one, the trees started to fall. And though the biosphere seemed perfect and pure, the scientists forgot one piece of flourishing is air.
