Doubt is a Felt Tension

Doubt is really the felt tension that exists between a belief you have and a contrary claim you do not yet believe…Simply put, doubt is that experience of one of our beliefs seeming like it might be false: it’s less plausible. Some contrary claim begins to seem like it’s got something going for it. You don’t believe any of it yet, but it’s starting to seem like it might be so. This is the internal battle of doubt.
