Desperate for Attention

We’re little children wandering the aisles of the internet because we’ve lost the presence of our loving parent. We are desperate for the attention of a good Father who sees us. We have no idea how to rest. It’s easier to be everywhere at once online. We turn to the stories our phones hold out for us to tell us who we are. I wonder if the lobbing of intellectual grenades, the picking apart of people by virtual strangers on the internet, are often just misdirected hungry cries of the child: “See me, notice me, know me, love me.”
