Don’t Try to Hug Jesus and Step on His Feet

To paraphrase St. Augustine of Hippo: If someone comes hug, kiss, and honor you, but steps on your bare feet with hobnailed shoes, you’ll still complain. So will God complain when those who honor him with their words while oppressing the poor.
