Before I Knew God, I knew Nature

Before I knew God, I knew nature. I knew the feeling of warmth from the sun on my skin. The crunch of leaves on the sidewalk. The sparkle of the fresh powder snow. It was not until I was a teenager that I learned the name of these wonders: God. The Wilderness is where we learn who God is and who we are in relation to God. In the wilderness, I found peace. The natural world is still amazing to me- still an opportunity for peace.
