A Marvel Movie Gets the Incarnation

In the blockbuster 2017 Marvel movie Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, the protagonist Star-Lord (Chris Pratt) meets his absentee father, Ego (Kurt Russell) who turns out to be an alien, a "Celestial" (in Marvel-terms, a "god").

His own story of his "incarnation" isn't terribly biblical: he got lonely and wanted to experience humanity. When asked how human this very alien being is, he replies,
