The Lakeside Community
On the Sea of Galilee, it is not unusual to see from one shore to the other. It is essentially a lake, and as is often the case with lakes, people who live on the lake have a general idea of who lives where and what people in the other popular spots are doing. They share information, word gets around, and even though there are multiple villages (or subdivisions), there is a general sense of community. So, when Jesus did things around the lake, word got around quickly from one place to another. Or, when people were looking for him, they could easily traipse from one village or neighborhood to another.
