A Highly Practical Text

Often we come to scripture passages that require a bit of interpretive twists and turns to find ways of connecting the text to our modern-day lives in the 21st century. But occasionally we come upon scripture passages that are extremely practical--texts that speak to how we worship God or love our neighbor.

Just this past week I (Stu) was in worship in our downtown church and noticed ushers seating a couple of men who at least appeared to be homeless. Were they given the same treatment as those who came dressed in fine clothes? It appeared so, though obviously I can only see what happened on the outside, not on the inside.
