Risk, Salvation, and the Fullness of Time
Pharaoh’s daughter took a huge risk to raise and protect the child of a Hebrew slave, a child who should have been killed because of her father’s decree. That child’s name was Moses. When the fullness of time had come, God inspired Moses to lead God’s people through the wilderness from slavery to freedom.
Esther was raised and protected by her cousin Mordecai. When the fullness of time had come, she became a queen. She should have been killed because of her heritage, but God inspired her to save her people from genocide.
When the fullness of time had come, God sent his Son, Jesus. The fullness of God made frail flesh. Born of Mary. Raised and protected by Joseph.
