God's Sovereignty

The sovereignty of God is a pervasive theme in the Bible, expressed in a variety of ways. Daniel’s vision is one of those expressions and a bit more challenging than the declaration in Psalm 93:1-3 that articulates God’s sovereignty in terms of his “throne” and “eternity”: “The LORD reigns. . . . Your throne was established long ago; you are from all eternity.” As difficult as it is for us humans to comprehend the idea of sovereignty, in any setting, it is one of the most fundamental doctrines of Scripture.

The Ancient of Days and Son of Man
