Scripture Interpreting Scripture: The Church in Israel's Story
The features of a biblical text that allure me into its boundaries may not necessarily be the attraction that allures others. However, a particular feature of 1 Peter really draws me in, and I think, once serious readers have discovered this trait, they will be both awed and intrigued. How the New Testament writers use Old Testament scriptures has long been an object of biblical studies. For our purposes, and to simplify, we may note that there are two aspects of this study: quotations and allusions.
