Prayers of Invocation on Guidance

Most Holy and Most Gracious God, who turns the shadow of night into morning, satisfy us early with your mercy, that we may rejoice and be glad throughout the entire day. Lift the light of your faith on us; calm every troubled thought; and guide our feet into the way of peace. Perfect your strength in our weakness, and help us to worship you; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Almighty God, send your Holy Spirit into our hearts, that he may govern and guide us according to your will, comfort us in all our temptations and afflictions, defend us from all error, and lead us into all truth, that we may be steadfast in the faith, increase in love and in all good works, and in the end, obtain eternal life; through your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. We praise You, Heavenly Father for sending us Your Word to instruct and convict us. You also sent Your Holy Spirit to guide and encourage us as we learn more about Your Word. Help us today to gain new insights in Your Word so we might better be able to proclaim it to the world. Amen.

Rabbi Jesus, Teacher of teachers, thank you for empowering us to know and grow in wisdom and truth. You challenge us and stretch us and open us. You grant us grace to grow over time. We bless you for your patience and welcome. It gives us the confidence to draw near. 

 See us here, at your feet, ready to go deeper, ready for the new life it will bring. Speak Lord, we’re listening… pause for a moment of silence.
