While God’s love never fails, our love does fail.

Leader: While God’s love never fails, our love does fail. All too often, our experience of love is confused, distorted, and disappointing. That is due to the sin in the world and the sin in our own hearts. For all the ways we’ve failed to love as God intends, let us seek His forgiveness and His restoration together in prayer:

People: Heavenly Father, forgive me for when my love has failed. Forgive me for pursuing love in ways that are outside of your will. Forgive me for neglecting Your love in my life. Have mercy on me, and restore me according to your steadfast love.

Silence for personal confession.

Leader: Listen to what God’s love has accomplished: Jesus died and rose again so that your sins could be put to death and you could live in light of God’s love. Wherever your love has failed, God’s love has conquered. Your sins are forgiven because Christ is risen!

People: He is risen indeed! Alleluia!
