We join with all of creation

Pastor: We join with all of creation to shout the praise of Almighty God, and to sing our Alleluias to the one who has conquered death. Yet we must confess to God and one another that we have failed to live as Easter people.

Pastor: Father of all mercy and grace,

People: We confess that though Your Son has risen as Savior, we fail to acknowledge him as King. We have not loved You with our whole heart; we have not loved our neighbors as ourselves. Instead of following Him as Lord, we selfishly cling to our own small crowns. Grant us Your pardon and forgiveness. Turn our hearts from the rival kingdoms of this world to follow Jesus, the one true King. Amen.

Pastor: God has promised forgiveness of sins to those who repent and turn to Him. In the mercy of almighty God, Jesus Christ laid down His life for us, and for His sake God forgives us all our sins. May He keep us in His grace by the Holy Spirit, and grant us a victorious life on earth and finally a triumphant life with Him in heaven forever, through Jesus Christ, our Lord.
