The Lord calls to all to “Come and see” who He is

Pastor: The Lord calls to all to “Come and see” who He is, repent of our sins and put our faith in Christ.
Silence for personal confession.
Pastor: Merciful God,
People: we confess that we have ignored Your gracious call to life and salvation, and have thought, spoken, and acted as if You were absent and distant from us. For the sake of Jesus, forgive us. Hold our gaze on Your baptismal promise sealed in the life, death, and resurrection of your Son. Through the power of your Spirit, give us the courage to speak what we have seen and point to the One who takes away the sins of the world. Amen.
Pastor: Come and hear what God has done for your soul:  In His love for us, He gave His one and only Son, Jesus Christ, to die on the cross for us, bringing Him back to life on the third day.  We were buried therefore with Him by baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might walk in newness of life.
Forgiven and free, live now in the love and peace of Christ as you follow Him.
