Leader: Since we have a great high priest who can sympathize with our weakness, let us boldly approach the throne of grace, confident that there we will receive God’s mercy and grace in our time of need.

People: Lord God, we confess the weakness of our faith.
Too often we do not trust your promise that your grace is sufficient for us
Instead we listen to the voices which tell us we need to do more, achieve more, be better
We would rather have glory on our own terms than salvation through your suffering.
