Oh Lord, our Lord, When you called your

Oh Lord, our Lord,
When you called your child Abraham out of Ur,
You were beginning a new project in human history.
You were creating a new people.
A people who would be known as salt and light,
A people who would be known for justice & righteousness.
…And yet here we are.
We continue to live in a broken, fractured world.
A world where violence is met with “thoughts & prayers.”
Help embolden us Lord, to be willing to do more.
To be harbingers of your shalom,
so that the light of your son Jesus Christ
might shine within…
