Prayer of Confession

Leader: To prepare our hearts and minds for worship today, we begin by confessing our sins.

People: Today, we recognize our need for our Savior. We confess that too often we don’t live as people filled with the light of eternity. We follow our own desires and thoughts. We sin against God and against each other by our actions and by what we fail to do.

Leader: But because of His great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in our sins

People: It is by grace that we have been saved! The love of Christ is so wide, long, high, and deep, that nothing could ever separate us from His love and grace.
