Mighty King, lover of justice

Mighty King, lover of justice, in your gracious presence we confess our sin and the sin of this world. You have spoken to us through your Beloved Son, but too often we fail to listen to him. You have called us as witnesses to Christ’s majesty, but we set ourselves against you, seeking our own glory. Surrounded by iniquity and inequity, we come to accept injustice in our society.

Forgiving God, have mercy upon us as we approach your throne of grace with boldness tempered by fear and trembling; heal and forgive us. Draw us in to seek refuge in you, and send us out to extol Christ our Lord to the world.
