Let us confess our sin in the presence of God

Pastor: Let us confess our sin in the presence of God and of one another.

People: Gracious God, have mercy on us. In Your compassion forgive us our sins, known and unknown, things done and left undone.  Strengthen us by Your Spirit so that we may live and serve You in newness of life, to the honor and glory of Your holy name; through Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.

Pastor: Hear the Good News of forgiveness from God’s Word – For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. 

Be at peace, your sins are forgiven!  

People: Amen! Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail.
