Pastor: God exalted Jesus at His right hand as Leader and Savior 

People: to give repentance to Israel and forgiveness of sins.

Pastor: In repentant faith, we come before our Lord in confession.  

(Silence for reflection)  

Pastor: Almighty God, we confess to You that we are sinful by nature. 

People: We have sinned by our selfish thoughts, our hurtful words,  and our unloving actions. We acknowledge Christ’s victory over death and the grave, but too often we deny the power of His resurrection in our daily lives. We doubt Your promises and demand proof of Your love and care. Forgive us for the sake of Jesus and grant us Your joy and peace. Amen. 

Pastor: God has heard your confession and has forgiven all your sins,  speaking peace to you in Jesus’ name. Be assured that by the perfect life, innocent death, and glorious resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ, He has removed your guilt forever. And by His Spirit He grants you strength to believe that Jesus is the Christ, and that by believing you may have life in his name.

People: Lord, I believe; help my unbelief. Amen.
