For All Prisoners

Lord Jesus, who came to liberate the captives, remem­ber the prisoners, we pray, those locked up in jails.

…Release from the prisons of their own making all those who struggle with habits that bind them. If you wilt make them free, they shall be free indeed. Release them, we pray.

And Lord, remember the captives of illness, weakness, and pain. Loosen them from that bondage into the heritage of health which is Your perfect will for them.

Remember in your mercy the prisoners of sorrow who have no comfort, the prisoners of loneliness who know no solace of friendship. You who…
