As we watch and wait for Christ’s coming

This prayer can be used for all 4 weeks of Lent, with the small changes of saying "candles" instead of "candle" after the first week and by switching out the candle theme (Hope, etc.) based on the week.

Leader:  As we watch and wait for Christ’s coming, we light the Advent candle(s), dispelling the dark and remembering the promises of God with prayer. Today we light the candle of (HOPE, FAITH, PEACE, LOVE). We can love knowing that even as we wait for His final coming, “The Lord your God…
