Affirmation of Mission (based on Confession of 1967)

Our mission is the mission of Jesus Christ. 

He lived as an ordinary human being.
We will care for the common life of humanity.
He served men and women.
We are committed to working for human well-being in all its forms. 
He suffered.
We will see the face of Christ in the faces of suffering people.
He was crucified.
We will reject and oppose injustice and refuse to be complicit in it.
He rose from the dead and will come again.
We will live with the hope that God will renew humanity…
