Adapted from 1 Peter 2:9-10, 25

Go, as God’s own people and proclaim the mighty acts of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light:

Once you were not a people,
            but now you are God’s people;
once you had not received mercy,
            but now you have received mercy.

For you were going astray like sheep, but now you have returned to the shepherd and guardian of your souls.

And may the blessing of God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit keep your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus, now and always. Amen.
