1. When you put yourself in the place of someone in the crowd, what are you thinking?  What do you see and how do you feel when Jesus calls the woman forward for healing and takes on the synagogue ruler? What do you learn about giving God glory? About following Jesus? 

2. What are the main lessons in this passage about healing that Luke would have his readers learn? How are those lessons to be translated into the language of today’s world? What kind of paraphrase would you write?
