Post-Resurrection Appearances
The four Gospel writers vary in which and how many of Jesus’ thirteen post-resurrection appearances they choose to record. Luke reserves each one of the five episodes containing the risen Jesus that he records for the final chapter of his Gospel (these exclude an additional two appearing in the book of Acts) and their order of appearance seems to betray a certain logic.
