Preaching Angle: The God Who Transforms

As the Lectionary readings traverse from last week’s readings in Acts 7 (Stephen’s sermon and martyrdom) into this week’s reading of Paul’s sermon at the Areopagus, we now see a transformed Paul. He who was persecuting God’s people is now preaching the Gospel. He who reviled the man Jesus of Nazareth is now preaching Christ’s Kingdom. He who hated the Gentiles is now preaching the good news of salvation to all nations. Paul’s transformation is testimony that God is a God who transforms. He transforms sinners into servants, rebels into saints, and enemies into sons and daughters.

In 2009, Dustin married Debbie, his best friend and partner in ministry. Together, they are blessed with three children—Abigail, Judah, and Ezra—who bring joy and purpose to their lives. Dustin's family is central to his mission, and he is committed to leading them in faith and love as they grow together in Christ.

With over a decade of experience in pastoral and counseling ministry, Dustin has served faithfully in various church contexts. His approach is grounded in the belief that Scripture is sufficient for addressing life's challenges and guiding individuals toward lasting change. Whether preaching, teaching, or counseling, Dustin seeks to proclaim the truth of God’s Word with clarity, conviction, and compassion.

Outside of ministry, Dustin enjoys BMX biking, listening to hardcore music, researching theological topics, and writing. These hobbies reflect his dynamic personality and his commitment to living a full, God-centered life.
