Calls To Worship

Stewardship

Adapted from Psalm 48

Great is the Lord and greatly to be praised

His holy mountain is the joy of all the earth.

We ponder your steadfast love, O God.

Walk among your people, that you may tell the next generation that this is God, our God forever and ever. God will be our guide forever. Help us to seek your guidance as we gather to worship you.

Adapted from Proverbs 3:13-18

Leader: Blessed are those who find wisdom, those who gain understanding,
People: for she is more profitable than silver and yields better returns than gold.
Leader: She is more precious than rubies; nothing you desire can compare with her.
People: Long life is in her right hand; in her left hand are riches and honor.
Leader: Her ways are pleasant ways, and all her paths are peace.
People: She is a tree of life to those who take hold of her; those who hold her fast will be blessed.

Adapted from Acts 2:42-46

They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.

Everyone was filled with awe at the many wonders and signs performed by the apostles.

All the believers were together and had everything in common.

They sold property and possessions to give to anyone who had need.

Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts.

They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people.

Jesus Christ is the light of the world.

He will judge the people with righteousness and defend the cause of the poor.

Jesus Christ is the light of the world.

The mystery of the ages is revealed; the eternal plane of God is known to all.

Jesus Christ is the light of the world.

Let us kneel down before him to give him honor, glory, and praise.

Jesus Christ is the light of the world.

Let us offer him all the treasures of our hearts and our lives.

Jesus Christ is the light of the world.
