Calls To Worship
Sacrifice
Adapted from Micah 6:6, 8
Leader: With what shall we come before the Holy One, and bow ourselves before God on high?
People: God has shown us what is good.
Leader: What does the Holy One require of us,
People: But to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with our God?
Adapted from Micah 6:6-8
Leader: With what shall we come before the Lord, and bow ourselves before God on high?
People: Will the Lord be pleased with thousands of rams, with ten thousands of rivers of oil?
Leader: God has told you, O mortal, what is good. What does the Lord require of you?
People: To do justice, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with our God.
All: Let us worship God!

Adapted from Romans 12:1-2
Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy
To offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God.
This is your true and proper worship.
Let us not conform to the pattern of this word,
But be transformed by the renewing of our minds.
Then we will be able to test and approve what God’s will his. So we begin that life of worship here and now, during this service of praise.

Adapted from Isaiah 1:18, Joel 2:14, Psalm 103, 1 John 1:9, Psalm 51:17, & James 4:10
Come now, and let us reason together, says the Lord; though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be like wool.
Rend your heart, and not your garments, Return to the LORD your God; for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness.
The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in mercy. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise. Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he will lift you up. Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you.
