And the things you have heard me say
In the presence of many witnesses
Entrust to reliable people
Who will also be qualified to teach others.
Lord, as we worship you today, empower us to pass on what you have done in us to others.

Adapted from Psalm 122, Isaiah 2:3, Psalm 122:2, Isaiah 2:5
I was glad when they said to me,
“Let us go to the house of the Lord!”
Come, let us go up to the mountain of the Lord,
that we may learn God’s ways
and walk in God’s paths.
Our feet are standing within your gates, O Jerusalem
Come, let us walk in the light of the Lord!
Leader: Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.
People: Lord, teach us how to rest in you.
Leader: Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me.
People: O Savior Christ, let us learn your lessons well.
Leader: Let us worship our God.

From Matthew 11:28-30
Leader: Christ bids us: “Come to me, all you that are weary and are carrying heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me; for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” Let us heed our Lord’s command, and come to him with all that we are.

Leader: In you, Lord our God, we put our trust.
People: We trust in you; do not let us be put to shame, nor let our enemies triumph over us.
Leader: No one who hopes in you will ever be put to shame, but shame will come on those who are treacherous without cause. Show us your ways, Lord, teach us your paths.
People: Guide us in your truth and teach us, for you are God our Savior, and our hope is in you all day long.
