Knowing God
Adapted from Romans 11:33-36
Oh, the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God!
How unsearchable his judgments,
And his paths beyond tracing out!
“Who has known the mind of the Lord?
Or who has been his counselor?”
“Who has ever given to God,
That God should repay them?”
For from him and through him and for him are all things.
To God be the glory forever!

Adapted from Philippians 3:7-8, 10
But whatever were gains to us
We now consider loss for the sake of Christ.
What is more,
We consider everything a loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ our Lord, for whose sake we lose all things.
We want to know Christ,
To know the power of his resurrection and participation in his sufferings
