Calls To Worship
Community
Adapted from 1 Corinthians 12
Leader: There are different spiritual gifts but the same Spirit; and there are different ministries and the same Lord;
People: Christ is just like the human body—a body is a unit; and all the parts of the body are one body, even though there are many parts.
Leader: We were all baptized by one Spirit into one body, whether Jew or Greek, or slave or free.
People: We were all given one Spirit to drink. Come, Holy Spirit!
All: Let us worship God!

Adapted from Hebrews 10:19-25
Leader: Therefore, brothers and sisters, since we have confidence to enter the Most Holy Place by the blood of Jesus,
All: by a new and living way opened for us through the curtain, that is, his body, and since we have a great priest over the house of God, let us draw near to God with a sincere heart and with the full assurance that faith brings
Leader: having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water.
All: Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful. And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.
Adapted from Hebrews 12:1-2
Therefore,
Since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses,
Let us throw off everything that hinders
And the sin that so easily entangles.
And let us run with perseverance
The race marked out for us,
Fixing our eyes on Jesus,
The pioneer and perfecter of faith.

Adapted from 1 John 2
Leader: This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light; in him there is no darkness at all.
All: If we claim to have fellowship with him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live out the truth.
Leader: But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.
All: If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.
