Adoration

Adapted from Psalm 24

The earth is the Lord’s, for he made it:
Come, let us adore him.
Worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness:
Come, let us adore him.
The mercy of the Lord is everlasting:
Come, let us adore him.
Lord, open our lips.
And our mouths shall proclaim your praise.

Book of Common Prayer

Adapted from Psalm 100

People: come before him with joyful songs.
Leader: Worship the Lord with gladness; Come before him with joyful songs.
People: Know that the Lord is God. Come before him with joyful songs. Know that the Lord is God.
Leader: It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, the sheep of his pasture.
People: Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name.
All: For the Lord is good and his love endures forever;
His faithfulness continues through all generations.
