Calls To Worship
Life
Adapted from Nehemiah 9:6
You alone are the Lord.
You made the heavens, even the highest heavens.
And all their starry host, the earth and all that is in it,
The seas and all that is in them.
You give life to everything,
And the multitudes of heaven worship you.
Let us join with them and worship God’s name!

Adapted from Psalm 90
Leader: Lord, you have been our dwelling place in all generations. From everlasting to everlasting, You are God.
People: But in comparison, the days of our life on this earth are but a moment.
Leader: So teach us, Lord, to count our days that we may be wise.
People: Meet us here this morning, remind us of Your steadfast love, so that we may rejoice and be glad all our days.
Leader: Yes, let us thank and praise God for every minute.
Adapted from Ezekiel 37:5, 6, 9
This is what the Sovereign Lord says to these bones:
I will make breath enter you and you will come to life.
I will attach tendons to you
And make flesh come upon you
And cover you with skin.
I will put breath in you,
And you will come to life. Then you will know that I am the Lord.
Come, breath from the four winds, and breathe.

Adapted from John 6
Leader: Jesus said to them, “Very truly, I tell you, it was not Moses who gave you the bread from heaven, but it is My Father who gives you the true bread from heaven. For the bread of God is that which comes down from heaven and gives life to the world.” They replied, “Sir, give us this bread always.”
People: We also want this True Bread that gives life.
Leader: Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life; whoever comes to me will never be hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.”
People: We believe, Jesus, that You are the Bread of Life and we receive this truth.
Leader: Then let us pray as we sing…
Adapted from John 11
Leader: Martha said to Jesus, “Lord, if you had been here, my brother would not have died. But even now I know that God will give you whatever you ask of him.”
People: Jesus said to her, “Your brother will rise again.”
Leader: Martha said to him, “I know that he will rise again in the resurrection on the last day.”
People: Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Those who believe in me, even though they die, will live, and everyone who lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe this?”
Leader: Martha replied “Yes, Lord, I believe that you are the Messiah, the Son of God, the one coming into the world.” Now what about us? Do we believe this?
All: We believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, our Lord and our Savior.
Leader: Then let us proclaim this with our singing…
Adapted from Genesis 1 / John 1
In the beginning God created the Heavens and the Earth. The earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep.
And the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters
In the beginning God said: “let there be light,” and there was light.
And God saw that the light was good and He separated the light from the darkness.
In the beginning was life, and that life was the light of the world
And the darkness has not understood the light
The true light that gives light to everyone has come into the world
The Father, His one and only Son, and the Spirit of Truth are with us here and now

The choice is before us: life or death.
Let us choose life so that we may live.
To Jesus we cry: Cleanse us, oh Lord!
By the mercy of Christ we are made clean.
This is the hope that we proclaim:
That Jesus Christ is risen from the dead.
