With a rich background in ministry, Bill has served as a Spiritual Formation Pastor in both mega-church and church-planting contexts. His pastoral experience enables him to understand firsthand the challenges and rewards of ministry life. As an educator, he has trained over 1,000 lay counselors and taught graduate-level courses in Christian psychology and spirituality, contributing to the development of compassionate and well-equipped leaders in the church.

Together with his wife, Kristi, Bill leads the Soul Shepherding Institute and Spiritual Direction certificate program, a ministry designed to nurture the spiritual health of pastors, ministry leaders, and others in vocational ministry. Through retreats, training, and mentoring, they provide tools and practices that encourage emotional and spiritual renewal, helping leaders deepen their relationship with God and sustain their callings.

Bill’s ministry emphasizes the integration of psychology, theology, and spiritual practices to foster holistic growth and transformation. His compassionate approach equips individuals to navigate the complexities of ministry life with resilience and grace, offering a lifeline to those serving on the front lines of the church. Whether through teaching, training, or spiritual direction, Bill is committed to creating safe spaces where pastors and leaders can experience healing, growth, and greater intimacy with Christ.
